Review Flemington Races on March 15
Been a while since my last post so thought it was time to start publishing again. I managed to make a profit on punt yesterday. My best bet was Translate in the feature mares race. I know she was favourite, however, I thought she represented outstanding value at the $2.85. Translate was the only Mare that could get near Divine Madonna last Spring under level weights, so in a relatively moderate mares race she did look a good thing and did the right thing by me. The ride of Craig Williams was 10 out of 10. Craig Williams summed up there was no speed, sat 1 out 1 back and won easily. Its amazing how often in Mares races that there is little speed and horses at the back have no hope whatsoever to be competitive.
If you backed any Mare in the race that got back in the field, don’t write them off as they had no chance to be competitive. I always look for races with a slow tempo where horses finish down the track and look for their next run, as quite often they can start over the odds. Horses like Brom Felinity, Cancanelle, & Trick of Light were all fantastic runs
